Masterclass Solutions has been named the Top Technology Firm in East Africa at the annual Business Excellence Awards, recognising outstanding performance in enterprise software development and digital transformation consulting.
The award acknowledges the firm’s track record of delivering mission-critical systems for governments, financial institutions, and healthcare networks across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda. Over the past year alone, Masterclass Solutions shipped 47 enterprise projects — including a national digital health platform, a real-time payment gateway handling over two million daily transactions, and an AI-powered credit scoring system now used by three major banks.
“This recognition belongs to our clients as much as to our team,” said the CEO. “They trusted us with their most important systems, and our engineers delivered. We are deeply grateful for that trust.”
The firm currently employs 40+ technology professionals across software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, and cloud architecture disciplines.
Masterclass Solutions hosted its annual East Africa Technology Summit at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi, bringing together over 500 technology leaders, enterprise decision-makers, government officials, and startup founders for a full day of keynotes, panels, and workshops.
This year’s theme — Building the Infrastructure Layer for Africa’s Digital Decade — drew speakers from leading African tech companies, global cloud providers, and the Central Bank of Kenya. Sessions covered AI adoption in financial services, cloud cost optimisation strategies, and the regulatory landscape for open banking.
Highlights included a live demonstration of our NLP platform processing Swahili-language banking queries, and a panel on zero-trust security featuring CISOs from three of East Africa’s largest banks.
“The energy in the room confirmed what we already know — African technology is not catching up. It is leaping forward,” said the Head of Community at Masterclass Solutions. “Events like this exist to accelerate that momentum.”
The summit will return in 2027. Expression of interest for speaking slots and sponsorship opens in September 2026.
Masterclass Solutions has formalised a strategic technology partnership with a leading global cloud infrastructure provider, deepening our capability to design, migrate, and manage enterprise workloads at scale across East Africa.
The partnership grants Masterclass Solutions access to advanced partner engineering support, co-sell programmes, and early access to new cloud services — enabling us to bring cutting-edge infrastructure options to our clients faster and with greater confidence.
For enterprise clients, the partnership translates to: certified architecture reviews for cloud migration projects, preferred pricing on cloud infrastructure through our reseller agreement, and access to a dedicated cloud support escalation path for production incidents.
“This formalises a relationship that has been producing results for our clients for several years,” said our Head of Cloud Architecture. “We look forward to deepening our collaboration and continuing to set the standard for cloud delivery in the region.”
Clients interested in understanding how the partnership affects their existing or upcoming engagements are encouraged to contact their account manager.
This month, Masterclass Solutions crossed a milestone that means a great deal to everyone who has been part of this journey: 250 enterprise technology projects delivered.
We started over a decade ago as a small team of engineers with a simple conviction — that African enterprises deserve the same quality of technology as their counterparts anywhere in the world. That conviction has driven every project, every late night, and every moment of hard-won trust with our clients.
By the Numbers
250 projects across 6 sectors. 50+ enterprise clients, 14 countries. 40+ technology professionals. Over 40 million end-users who interact daily with systems we have built or maintain.
Those numbers represent hospital patients whose records are now digital, bank customers who can access credit for the first time, taxpayers who file their returns in minutes instead of days, and businesses that can make decisions based on real data rather than gut feel.
What We Have Learned
Technology succeeds when it is built in genuine partnership with the people who will use it. The projects that have had the most impact — our hospital information systems, our payment gateways, our analytics platforms — have all been shaped by deep collaboration with our clients’ teams. We are not a vendor; we are a delivery partner.
We are grateful to every client, every partner, and every team member who has been part of this journey. The next 250 starts now.
